Body Talk

Parental disapproval is the biggest obstacle facing Cassie & Mark. Although they are gloriously and deeply in love, Mark's parents are set on ending the romance. When Cassie soon discovers she has bone cancer, she decides that Mark's leaving is for the best. Elated, Mark's parents send him to Europe to study - and to forget about Cassie.

When Mark's parents find out the real reason Cassie let Mark go, they are ashamed of their interference. Mark is soon reunited with Cassie in an emotional moment that now has the blessing of his parents.

Body Talk is the porno equivalent of Brian’s Song, a sentimental tearjerker that may leave viewers blowing their nose. T here have been porno melodramas before; 3 AM comes to mind immediately.  But none have been as concerned with attempting to make the audience cry as this new VCX release.

The story is about the relationship between a young, struggling sculptor named Mark (Steven Tyler) and an older, kept woman named Cassie (played by Angelique). The two are matched on a tennis date by mutual friends T.J. (Randy West) and Laurie (Kay Parker). Although they hit it off, Cassie is under the spell of an older, wealthy man who gets his jollies by surreptitiously watching her make it with young studs. Because her feelings for Mark are so strong, she refuses to involve him in her keeper’s fantasies. So she decides to live with Mark, whom she in turn keeps happy by funding his artistic studies.

Body Talk is a complex adult movie, and it gets even more complicated when we discover Cassie has contacted bone cancer. She decides to keep the horrifying news to herself, Mark wonders why she’s acting peculiar, and they split as Mark heads elsewhere to study.  However, a tearful reunion is in store.

If this sounds like a four handkerchief weepie, you’re right!  In lesser hands this film could have been a screamer, an unintentionally funny yarn, dripping with campy situations and sublime characters.  But thanks to the care taken and professionalism involved, Body Talk is a heartfelt film that actually strikes many emotional chords. T he acting is sensitive, the production up to today’s top adult standards, and the storyline is downright believable.  Director Pedie Sweet has an eye for subtle reactions, and the sex scenes – particularly the ones between T.J. and Cassie – are poetically quiet, misty lighting.

Those seeking a film with non-stop sex, should stay away.  Body Talk is an ideal film for couples looking for a change of pace in adult entertainment. It may even bring a tear to the eyes.
